AIDAN DOOLEY

Aidan is one of the original founding members of Play On Words Theatre Company. He is from Galway, West of Ireland. He trained at Guilford School of Acting and works as a freelance actor, writer and director in London.

Amongst his theatrical career ‘Philadelphia Here I Come’ – Wyndhams Theatre, ‘Elegies for Angels’ – Criterion Theatre, 'Translations' - National Theatre, and 'Tom Crean - Antarctic Explorer' - world wide tours  www.tomcreanshow.com

His book ‘TRAVELS with TOM CREAN ' was published in 2016. It tells the story of his journey with the Tom Crean show.

He has been an Associate Lecturer in Drama at Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent since 2006.

MIRIAM COOPER

Miriam is an original founding member of Play on Words Theatre Company. She trained at Guildford School of Acting and has worked as a professional actress for over 30 years. This has led to a variety of international and national productions. She has co written and performed in many of the Christmas shows for children at the Brook Theatre. Most recently her work has included 'Hedda Gabler' at the National Theatre and Agatha Christie’s 'Witness for the Prosecution' on the South Bank. Her one-woman show 'Prostitutes Marry in May' on the lives of Mary Queen of Scots and Elizabeth the First was nominated for an Off West End Theatre Award.

Along with her writing, Miriam also teaches as an Associate Lecturer in Drama at Canterbury Christ Church University and co runs Play On Word Youth Theatre and Play on Words Activate.
